In early September we opened Christ Light Day Nursery, a daycare focused on homeless and formerly homeless children.

Donors:

• Anonymous: $20,000
• Sisters of Mercy: $5,000
• Bruderhof: $12,000 (in-kind furniture and materials)
• Van Amerongen: $10,000 annually for 5 years (totaling $50,000)
• St. Boniface School: $6,000 (in-kind furniture and materials)
• BGR Foundation: $50,000

We are still hoping to raise $40,000 to cover the first year of operations.  Please email maryellen@stlydiashouse.org if you are interested in supporting this new project.

In light of current cuts to programs offering support to the poor we hope this venture will allow single mothers to work more, while their children are cared for well.
