Throughout the year 2023, Lydia’s House accomplished many things. We provided emergency shelter to over 20 families and served over 40 families in our aftercare program. Being able to serve all the families that we do and serve them well involves a lot of moving parts, helpful connections, community change, and growth.

Some of the biggest changes that occurred in 2023 involved having new staff members come on board over the summer, the ground breaking of our shelter addition, and the purchasing of a new building in order to help grow and expand our offices and flow of services.

In a spiritual sense, Lydia’s House has been able to grow more as a community by gathering together each day at noon to share prayer together as well as have monthly spirituality nights as a staff. In addition to this, some of our staff completed the Catechesis of the Good Sheppard Level II training. This training allows us to now provide Atrium programming for children ages 7-10 years old.

Growth, improvements, and updates have occurred in all areas of functioning at Lydia’s House. This includes improvements with guest care, aftercare programming, administration, strategic partnerships, and much more. Details of the fruits of 2023 can be found here.
